< back to my blog My name is Ben von Reyn, and I am from Williston, Vermont. I grew up in Vermont my entire life, which has given me a much different perspective than most of the students I have met at St. Lawrence. I attended Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, Vermont, where I played golf and tennis. I am a freshman at St. Lawrence and am considering an Economics major. Athletically, I play on the golf team here and enjoy playing tennis and hockey in the off season. I had a very difficult time selecting my college, but I eventually settled on St. Lawrence after staying overnight. I would highly recommend staying for a night, as it gave me time to meet some of the people who attend this school. It was both these interactions and some of the amazing facilities that ultimately convinced me to attend St. Lawrence. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my first semester at St. Lawrence, and am confident that my future semesters will be just as fulfilling.
