< back to my blog My name is Michaela Stewart and I am from a small hill town outside of Albany, Averill Park, NY. I am the oldest of three; I have a younger brother and sister. I graduated from the Academy of the Holy Names in 2004 and I am going into my senior year here at SLU. This year I am completing government and history double major. I like to stay busy and so I involve myself in a lot of different things around campus. I am a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority, and I work in the Word Studio as a writing mentor as well as a sweater girl for the SLU Hockey team. In the past I have been the President of the Student Alumni Association, vice president of the Pan-Hellenic Council, Vice President of Finance for the Tri-Delta house. Freshman Year I played on the Women?s Varsity Lacrosse Team. I spent last semester abroad in China. I was enrolled in a Chinese University and lived with a host family. I had an absolutely amazing time traveling through the country side and getting to know a cultural quite different from my own. Outside of school I love to stay active. I enjoy bike riding, Pilates, and just hanging out with friends. Ice cream is definitely a food group. My favorite kind is mint chocolate chip. I like any kind of music but DMB and country are the best by far
